Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Tempto (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Service Description
Tempto provides AI-generated practice questions for certification exam preparation. Questions are generated from study materials and are intended for practice purposes only.
Tempto is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorized by any certification body, including but not limited to AWS, Microsoft, Google, CompTIA, Cisco, or any other vendor. All certification names, logos, and exam titles are trademarks of their respective owners and are used solely for identification purposes.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts.
4. Subscriptions & Payments
Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the end of the billing period. Credits included in your plan expire at the end of each billing cycle and do not roll over.
See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for details on cancellations and refunds.
5. EU Withdrawal Right
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days under the Consumer Rights Directive. By using generation credits or accessing AI-generated content, you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose your withdrawal right for that transaction. For subscriptions, see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6. Acceptable Use
When using Tempto, you may not:
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download questions or other platform content
- Attempt to reverse-engineer question generation or AI models
- Redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit generated questions
- Share your account credentials with others or operate multiple accounts
- Interfere with the Service’s infrastructure, security, or performance
- Use the Service to develop a competing product
- Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or billing restrictions
When uploading study materials or other content, you may not provide:
- Actual certification exam questions, answers, or “brain dumps”
- Content that violates certification body NDAs or terms of service
- Copyrighted material you do not have the right to use
- Malicious files or content designed to exploit the AI system
Tempto generates original practice questions — not reproductions of real exam content. We expect the same standard from our users. Uploading actual exam content undermines the integrity of the certification process and may violate the law.
7. Enforcement
Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination at our discretion. We may report illegal activity to law enforcement.
If you believe someone is violating this policy, contact us at abuse@tempto.io. For copyright-related concerns, see our Copyright Policy.
8. Intellectual Property
Content you upload (study materials, PDFs) remains yours. By uploading, you grant Tempto a limited license to process your content for the purpose of generating practice questions. You represent that you have the right to upload any content you provide.
Generated questions are provided under a personal-use license for your exam preparation. You may not redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit generated content. All platform content, design, and software remain the property of Tempto.
9. AI-Generated Content
Practice questions are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain inaccuracies. Tempto does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of AI-generated content. Generated questions are original practice material — they are not sourced from or intended to replicate actual certification exam questions.
AI-generated content is a study aid and should not be your sole preparation resource. Always verify information against official study materials and documentation.
10. Copyright & DMCA
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on Tempto infringes your copyright, please see our Copyright Policy for instructions on filing a takedown notice.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that practice questions will appear on actual certification exams or that using Tempto will result in passing any examination. Tempto is a study aid, not a substitute for official study materials or professional guidance.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tempto shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amounts you have paid to Tempto in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable EU/EEA law.
15. Dispute Resolution
We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any dispute. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Norway. EU consumers may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/odr (our contact email for ODR purposes: legal@tempto.io).
